Citi is giving 40 percent extra when you move ThankYou points to Turkish Miles and Smiles. The transfer is one to one normally, so 1,000 Citi points become 1,400 Turkish miles. The bonus is capped at 50,000 extra miles, which means a transfer of 125,000 points maxes it out.
Why Turkish is the interesting part
Turkish is in Star Alliance, so those miles book United, Lufthansa, Air Canada and more, not just Turkish flights. It is one of the cheaper ways to sit in a lie flat seat to Europe. That is why this bonus matters more than the number suggests.
The detail nobody else is telling you
Turkish own campaign terms say the offer ends at 23:59 Turkiye time on August 31. That is around 5pm Eastern, not midnight. If you wait until late on the 31st thinking you have all night, you will miss it. I went to Turkish own terms page to confirm that, because the deal sites only say August 31.
