Marriott has opened its second global promotion of the year. You register once, and after that every paid stay of two or more nights earns you 1,500 bonus points on top of what you normally earn. If that stay happens to be at a resort, you get another 3,000 on top, so 4,500 in total. It runs on stays completed between September 22 and November 22, 2026.
The part that catches people out
You have to register BEFORE the stay you want it to count for. Not after you check out, not when you remember. Registration is open now and closes November 13. If you have a Marriott stay booked for October, go and register today and then forget about it. It costs nothing and there is no downside to being registered.
Who this is actually for
This is not a reason to book a Marriott. It is a reason to register if you already have one booked, or if a work trip, a family weekend or a fall break is already on your calendar. Two nights is a low bar. Most trips clear it without trying. If you are a once-or-twice-a-year traveler, this is the kind of thing that quietly makes the next free night arrive sooner.
What does not count
Paid stays only. Award nights and Cash plus Points nights are out, which is worth knowing if you were planning to burn points this fall. You also have to have points, not airline miles, selected as your earning preference, and only one room per stay counts. Bulgari, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments and the vacation club properties are excluded.
One thing about the timing of the money
The 1,500 lands within about 10 business days of checkout. The 3,000 resort bonus does not. That one can take up to eight weeks after the promotion ends, so a resort stay in October may not show its full bonus until January. Do not panic when the numbers look short. Just note it and move on.
What the bonus is actually worth
Expires: November 22, 2026. Registration closes 11:59 pm on November 13, 2026, and you must be registered before the stay you want it to count for. Verified on Marriott's own promotion terms, promotion code WL26, on September 13, 2026. Marriott's terms do not state a timezone for the cutoff, so treat November 13 as the last safe day rather than cutting it fine.
